I've always wanted to have a guitar, always. I have been long holding back. I went for it, now I have what I want. In time, with learning and growth; my poetry will have melodies and music will be born.
Hyacinth - A very beautiful prince of Sparta, who was Apollo's lover. While Apollo and him were playing, Hyacinth had an accident, causing his death. Apollo did not let Hades claim the boy, instead, he made flowers out of his spilled blood and the flowers were stained with Apollo's tears.

btw, aren't you anxious that your poem might lose its certain uhmm allure/meaning after you set it into music (poem becoming a song), or will it only serve as a musical background during poetry readings (ala il postino soundtrack)
ahhhh... been procrastinating on learning guitar for years now. i'm thinking if your hyacinth is strong enough to convince me this time. hehehe
ReplyDeleteP.S. what do you call that notes/chords chart whatever? yes, seeing it is cool, reminds me of a grand musical concert which i love. but it also reminds me of my music subject back in grade school! it kindly freak my brain out. lol

@Buenvenido: Music can be either in the background as the poem is read or I can transform it into a whole new piece. Yes, it may change the very essence of the literary work, but it's like making new life. Can't wait for the words and music to make love.
@: Pepe: I got it from Youtube, and I wrote it down all what the guy said and instructed. It reminded me of my HS Music class, which I always almost fail. Tsk tsk tsk. I should have listened to my teacher back then.
The horizontal lines are called a staff, that has a corresponding note per line and per space. The parallel are bar lines two bar lines on either end makes 1 measure. 1 measure has 4 beats. Two bar lines that are side by side means end of music. I forgot the big letter like symbol means.

nung paglaki ko di ko na agad maiwasan ang mga musical instruments dahil "required" kami ng tatay ko na matuto. pero, worth it naman.
